Another good night’s sleep…got to sleep around midnight, awoke once around 5am to get another ice pack, but then slept until after 9:30 a.m.!
Had to RUSH to get ready for church as we were running seriously late, especially since Dawnette was supposed to be doing children’s today. The Crossing continued our series on “Authentic Faith”, which was really good. I helped out with A/V since someone wasn’t able to make it. I was doing alright pain-wise for the most part, but towards the end of the service, I was feeling pretty nautious.
I barely made it home & had to rush to the bathroom…and from there of course the pain was only amplified. I went upstairs to lay on the bed & ice down & had multiple BM’s all afternoon…it was a rough day. Even after laying down a good portion of the afternoon, I still didn’t feel that much better. About mid-way through the afternoon, my neighbor, Scott Latta came over to help us change out a light bulb at our entrance. It’s a 2-story light fixture & there is NO way I could climb that ladder to do it. We’re extremely grateful that he was willing to help us out!
We had friends from church, Danny & Amy Wells that made us dinner…chicken enchiladas…being italian, that would not normally be at the top of my list, but it was REALLY good. So good in fact that Dawnette had a 2nd helping! They also made a cinnamon dessert with frosting that was really good as well!
Afterwards, I went back & laid down to relax & ice down…around 7:30 p.m. I went downstairs to make a pumpkin pie (LOVE pumpkin pie) & then went back upstairs to rest while it cooked.
Waited for it to cool down for a couple hours & had a late night snack before bed…till tomorrow…
